Jirou Yakuin, a third-year high school student, has feelings for his childhood friend Shiori Sakurazaka. When their school starts a “marriage practical” program—where students are paired up to live as pretend married couples—Jirou hopes to be matched with her.
At the same time, Akari Watanabe, a bold and cheerful girl, wishes to be paired with her crush, the handsome and popular Minami Tenjin.
But things don’t go as planned.
Instead, Jirou gets paired with Akari, and Shiori ends up with Minami. Disappointed but determined, Jirou and Akari decide to work together. Why? Because the top 10 couples with the best “married life scores” are allowed to switch partners—but only if both pairs agree.
Now living under one roof, Jirou and Akari must act like a real couple while hiding their true feelings for someone else. As they spend more time together, things get a lot more complicated than they expected.
