His world shifts the moment he finds a handwritten notebook titled Living with Dying. It doesn’t take him long to realize it belongs to Sakura Yamauchi, an energetic and well-liked girl in his class.
Sakura reveals the truth behind the diary: she is living with a serious pancreatic illness, and her time is limited. Aside from her family, no one knowsnot even her closest friends. Although she opens up to him with complete honesty, he reacts with the same coldness he shows the rest of the world. Still, Sakura’s warmth and constant optimism slowly draw him in, and he ends up spending her remaining days by her side.
What starts as an unlikely connection gradually turns into something meaningful. Their contrasting personalities—her liveliness and his emotional distance—begin to shape each other’s lives.
